1.0 Introduction: The Organization

We need a virtual place for everyone associated with the building of the History of Computing in Learning and Education to meet, share and collaborate. It should carry a sense of membership which doesn't seem to be provided by simply joining this wiki. In addition, it needs to be formal enough to be credible to funding organizations such as the US National Endowment for the Humanities. On this page we can describe the organization, criteria for membership and activities. One fundamental purpose for creating a formal organization is to be a vehicle for raising funds to further HCLE. Consortium members will be eligible to share in the revenue generated by our grant-seeking in proportion to their contributions to the funded projects.
